Useful info
Document layouts
Orders are printed using SOP Order layouts files. These layout files determine the appearance of your printed orders. Sage 200 provides two default layouts: One for single sheets and one for continuous printing. You can use the default layout that we've created for you or you can customise the layout to suit your business, such as adding your company logo.
You customise your document layouts using Report Designer ( Tools > Run Sage Report Designer). This allows you to:
- Change the text appearance, font and size.
- Change margin, borders, columns.
- Add or remove data fields.
- Email documents to the contact email address set on customer accounts.
For more information on how to customise your document layouts, see Customise reports.
If you want to sue a different layout, you must add this to Sage 200.
Open: Tools > Choose layouts.
- Select SOPSalesOrder from the Layout drop-down list.
-
For the Filename, click the ... button () to browse for the layout you want to use.
The default layouts are stored in the Default / Layouts folder; SOP sales Order (Single) or SOP Sales Order (Continuous).
If you have customised the layout, it will be in the Custom > Layouts or [your company name] > Layouts folder.
What happens when I
Print the orders?
The orders are sent to the printer, spooler An area in Sage 200 where you can save all your reports in a list, rather than sending them directly to the printer. The reports stay in the Spooler until you choose to delete them. You can print them as often as you require. or to the screen as a preview, depending on your output mode How reports and documents are handled when you click Print. You can send them directly to the printer, as preview on screen, or to print later from the spooler..
